The next meeting of the All-Party Parliamentary Humanist Group (APPHG) is taking place virtually on 1 March and will be on the subject of the impact of Covid-19 on the non-religious.
It’s important that as many MPs as possible attend this meeting, regardless of their religion or belief, to learn and ask questions about our work during the pandemic.
Doing so will help us to call for legal recognition of humanist marriages in England and Wales, a review into global persecution of the non-religious, and pave the way for equal access to pastoral support in hospitals and prisons.
What is the All-Party Parliamentary Humanist Group?
The All-Party Parliamentary Humanist Group is a cross-party group of Members of the House of Commons and the House of Lords of all the main parties. The Group has grown from its first beginnings in the 1960s to over 115 members today. It meets around four times a year to discuss key humanist issues and developments. Humanists UK provides the secretariat.
Tips on adapting the invitation
We’ve made it easy for you to write to your MP.
On this page, you’ll find a default model letter that we highly recommend you personalise (Members of Parliament are more likely to take notice of personalised emails and queries).
