Ask your MP to show their support for compassionate assisted dying legislation.
The Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill will have its Second Reading on Friday 29 November. This marks the first time since 2015 that MPs will debate and vote on assisted dying – a pivotal opportunity to bring about real compassionate change to people who are dying.
We need your support to make sure MPs understand the importance of this Bill. By writing to your MP, you can urge them to stand up for choice, dignity, and compassion for those who need it most.
No matter what party your MP is for, no matter what they’ve said in the past, ask them to support assisted dying and speak in favour of choice, compassion and autonomy.
We’ve made it easy for you to write by providing a standard letter, but we know that MPs react best to letters where they are customised to match your own experience and views. Here’s how you can do that:
If you are terminally ill and fear you will need an assisted death, please talk about this.
If you have or have had a loved one who would have benefited from a compassionate assisted dying law, please talk about this.
If you are a medical professional, please explain how this influences your views.
