Holy Redundant: Remove bishops from Parliament 

The House of Lords remains a place of entrenched privileged access to Parliament for bishops of the Church of England. Having any reserved places for bishops in Parliament is unjust. Britain is a country distinguished by its diversity of belief. To grant privileged access to Parliament to one religious group is an affront to the principles of democracy and equal citizenship.

Despite proposals for reform and a new Lords Reform Act (2014) that allows the resignation of peers, Anglican Bishops continue to sit in the House of Lords, they continue to have the right to vote and debate, they continue to have undue influence over our national way of life. They will have acquired these privileges by virtue of their religion, gender and position in the hierarchy of one denomination of one Church.
